Drip Pot
The oldest type of coffee maker, invented in Paris in 1800, consisting of a perforated earthware vessel containing coffee, through which hot water passes into a pot.
Full - Bodied
Charateristic of robustas, it is a term for coffee with strong, bitter tastes that override its acidity and sweetness.
Grind
The fineness of the particles of ground coffee. Different grinds are used for different methods of brewing.
Infusion
One of the two main methods of making coffee, by leaving the grounds in boiling water for up to five minutes. The other is perlocation.
Light Roast
Light, pale type of coffee preferred in northeren Europe to the full roast, which is full-bodied and dark in colour.
