Having a Ball in Vienna

Schlumberger, Austria's largest Wine and Spirits distributor has signed a distribution agreement to dsitribute The Irishman Whiskey range in Austria.

Schlumberger is well known in Austria as producer of the finest Austrian "Champagne" and sparkling wines. It also boasts distribution rights to some of the worlds biggest spirit brands such as Underberg, Remy Martin, Glenfiddich, Stoli, Jim Beam, Stroh, Stock, Metaxa, Appleton, Bols, Averna, Pitu and the list goes on.

Schlumberger are no strangers to Irish Whiskey as they had distributed Bushmills exclusively until the switch was made to The Irishman. The launch took place on the 28th September 2010 in the Irish Ambassadors Residence in Vienna where guests were greeted with a cocktail reception (cocktails created by Patrick Coronado) and then followed The Irish Whiskey Dinner where each course was paired a whiskey from The Irishman Range.

The guests finished off with the only bottle of The Irishman Cask strength in Austria while the Ambassador played on the Grand Piano, Danny Boy, The Mountains of Mourne and on.......
