Hungary

The Irishman Launched in Hungary this August. The importers are IFDT a well know hungarian importer and distributor. As part of the launch Tesco Hungary are listing The Irishman and Hot Irishman in all outlets in Budapest and beyond.

Although Hungary is a very price sensitive market there is a growing trend towards premiumisation despite the current economic challenges there. The Irish Whiskey cateogry has been expaning steadily since 2000 and IFDT believe there is a strong interest (especially in Budapest) in premium Irish Brands.
