Malt
Barley Which has been artificially germinated by first steeping in cold water then spread thinly to dry and allwoing shoots to develop.
Cask
Barrell which contains maturing spirit or whiskey.
Grain Whiskey
Whiskey produced from column stills, usually from wheat or maize but with a small amount of malted barley to aid fermentation.
Pot Stills
Bulbous copper containers in which the wash, produced from either pure malted barley or a mixture of malted and unmalted barley, is heated until vapours containing alcohol rises and seperates from the water.
